About Dr James Nicola 

 

Dr. James Nicola graduated from RMIT in 1998 with a 3-year Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement) degree then went on to complete a 5-year Bachelor of Clinical Science & Bachelor of Chiropractic Science double degree, graduating with distinction.

 

James is an internationally qualified sports specialist after post-graduate studies in Europe.

 

James just recently worked as a sports chiropractor in the Rio Olympic/ Paralympic Village polyclinic where he treated a number of gold and silver medallists including one Paralympic athlete who broke the world record in power-lifting just two hours after being treated!

 

Throughout 2004/2005, James practised in Ireland & Sweden and attended the Pre-Olympic Congress in Greece where he managed members of the Greek Olympic athletics team.

 

James is currently the head of the medical team for the Genova International School of Soccer where he has actively managed many young players as they signed for top flight clubs such as F.C. Internazionale Milano (Inter Milan) in Italy's Serie A and Valencia C.F. in Spain's La Liga. James also served as the joint head of the medical team for the South Melbourne Soccer Club between 2009 and 2013.

 

James manages athletes from amateur level through to elite international level yet, fundamentally, James is a holistic therapist who understands the benefits of a multi-modal tailored approach for all patients regardless of level of activity. James’ other areas of special interest are pre and post-natal care, paediatrics and family health.
